Colleagues, Alumi, Friends...
Were baaaaaaack, preloading sourdough and Rice-A-Roni for this year's San Francisco treat -- UCLA EM's ACEP night SUNDAY OCTOBER 16, 2011.
Details to follow but we are planning another AMAZING celebration of UCLA's Emergency Medicine Residency on SUNDAY October 16at ACEP in San Francisco.
Note that due to ACEP shifting the conference EARLIER in the week -- UCLA night is on SUNDAY (still the 'second night') evening.
This year as always we will celebrate the graduating Class of 2012, our newest soon-to-be Alumni, the first class to graduate after doing our integrated R1 year, instead of an separate internship/R2-4 as in the past.
The early evening ALUMNI COCKTAIL HOUR is a great way to reconnect, and we hope you will stay to support and enjoy the 'Senior Dinner,' directly afterward.
The last four years have been amazing dinners in honor of our 'about to be alumni' Seniors, and culinary celebrations of the best EM residency in the country:
Seattle's Triple Door Jazz Theater and Restaurant with Asian/Northwest Fusion Food
Chicago's Sushi Samba Top Floor Take-over
Boston's Rocca -- one of Bean Town's 'Best Bars' and a wonderful Ligurian/Italian Restaurant
Las Vegas' 'Party Bus' and Pink Taco Feista
We're planning a great night in San Francisco, a great restaurant and bar town that will be one for the record books, since the Class of 2012 is an especially fun 'foodie' class. There's SOME truth to the rumor that we're trying to rent the dining hall at Alcatraz, but regardless of where our 'sentence' lands, you'll be the first to know. We expect to have particulars in a couple of weeks.
So SAVE THE DATE and FORWARD this email to your classmates and residency friends and family.
It's a great night for UCLA every year, and one of the best dinner and drinks values at ACEP, with your best friends, colleagues, faculty and residents.
Lisa and I are looking forward to seeing all of you this year -- we're working hard to arrange the best night yet!
SAVE THE DATE -- SUNDAY OCTOBER 16
Best
Mark
P. S. -- Have I mentioned the date? Go Giants!
